Advanced electromagnetic inspection technology for detecting hidden flaws and corrosion.
Pulsed Eddy Current (PEC) testing is an advanced electromagnetic inspection technology which is used in detecting flaws and corrosion in ferrous materials typically hidden under layers of coating or insulation (for example, pipelines).
Even though PEC is widely used to inspect coated or insulated materials, its characteristics also make it suitable for other non-insulated surfaces such as port structures and ship hulls, and for field situations where the surface to be inspected is rough or inaccessible.
Because of this, PEC has proven itself as a fast and cost-effective solution for corrosion detection.
